WoWGo Overview

World of Warcraft Go (WoWGo) is a Massively Multiplayer Real Life Role Playing Game (MMRLRPG) for the iPhone.

WoWGo is a location based game using the real world as the game world. WoWGo utilises the iphones GPS, camera, accelerometer, and mutli-touch interface to bring the player a real life Warcraft experience.

Game features:

  • Use your in-game WoW characters and avatar
  • Have all your gear and items with you everywhere you go
  • Battle real people face to face in real-time PVP combat
  • Keep in contact with friends as well as make phonecalls via your WoWGo friends list
  • Collect rare items while doing daily activities
  • Do minor Quests in real locations around your home
  • Can automatically log on and off WoWGo when it detects your at home or logged onto WoW

WoWGo players can battle other players just like in WoW. When players are in close proximity, they can request a dual and battle the same way as in WoW except using real movement instead of movement keys.

When joined into a PVP realm, players competing with each other will receive experience from winning PVP battles. However if they die as a result of a duel they will need to return home to revive.

More about Items in the real world

Items can be found by just walking around doing normal everyday things. The GPS will track where and how far you walk and the further you walk the better the items found will be. These lower level items are common to both earth and azeroth but the higher level items are rare and only found on earth, but can be used within WoW itself as well. Certain types of items or rare items, will be exclusive to some area's of the globe (like major cities, or iconic landmarks) where that item may only be found within those boudaries. Items that can be obtained include and not restricted to weapons, armor, potions and even materials.
