Introduction

This website is online documentation for the Information Visualisation Studio (DECO3100) final group assignment. "Divinitus" is an ambient display created by the Bockiteers, with the aim of having it installed in the new University of Sydney Sci-Tech Library.

The ambient display is a contemporary, artistic method of displaying information within a context that allows people to relax and achieve their goals from first glance based off their emotions and feelings. This is created through the symbolic notion of a wishing well, but with much a more literal gesture towards finding inspiration and inner peace and tranquiility.

The purpose of this installation is to allow people to find inspiration and learn through the wise words/teachings of great artists, mathematicians and scientists of our past. To do this, we created an environmental space that would allow students and other pedestrians to work/study, sit and relax, or just pass through whilst being passed on great knowledge from the pioneers who shaped our world.
