Multimedia Design

What follows is a list of some multimedia projects that I have either conceived, designed, programmed, and realised, and some in which I have played a leading role. Their major contributions are highlighted, but if you need more information or a demonstration of these products, don't hesitate to contact me at: ricardo@student.usyd.edu.au

1- Course CD for CETE/SEP, México:
"Creation and Management of Audio-visual Databases" (2000)

2- Marketing CD for Real Estate Agency, México:
"Interactive Real Estate Agent" (2000)

This is an interesting interface design that allows the client to examine rather large amounts of entries in a database by visualising the Houses and Properties according to a series of parameters: Location, area, price, land use, etc. It is an "interactive information filter". Displays photographs and maps of the property as well.

3- Training CD series for Consultoría Creativa, México:
"10 main problems of Mexican Companies" (2001)

Informative and promotional multimedia that invites the users to diagnose their companies and decide whether they require the services of a consulting firm. Innovative promotional concept added with original and attractive design.

4- Accompanying CD, México:
"Concepts and tools for Continuous Improvement" (1999)

CD that accompanies a book by the same title. Contains exercises, notes, examples and tests.

5- Multimedia magazine for CNA, México:
"Pauta, Interactive Magazine about Music" (2001)

Pauta is a leading publication in México about Music. This edition consisted of a multimedia CD about Mozart, with excerpts from his correspondence, articles and music scores, all enhanced with recorded music and interactivity. I was responsible for the coordination and interface design as well as programming.

6- Learning Environment for NUS, Singapore:
"Fetal Abnormalities Management System" (1998-2000)

Modelled after the Goal-Based Scenario learning paradigm, this major project required two years of multidisciplinary work and produced a couple of research papers published in conferences in the USA. It consists of an interactive learning environment in which medicine graduate students learn about fetal ultrasound and abnormalities management.
